Carrying Clinical Authority Without the Clinical Coldness
One Guiding Metaphor and a Single Booking Action, End to End
An occupational therapist with 27 years of NHS experience needed a practice site that felt like the therapy itself — unhurried, clear and free of clinical coldness. We built it around one metaphor and one booking action.
- 27Years of NHS practice behind the profile
- 1Booking action across the whole site
- 4Weeks from brief to live

Context
Clinical credibility without clinical coldness
Private therapy sites tend to overcorrect in one direction — either sterile NHS-adjacent formality or wellness imagery so soft it reads as unqualified. Natalie's practice needed both halves at once: genuine clinical authority and the calm of the sessions themselves.

Goal
Let one idea carry the whole site
We built everything on the metaphor Natalie uses with clients — there are many paths up a mountain, and the work is choosing yours. It appears in the hero, structures the services split, and closes the page, so the site holds one thought instead of ten.

Process
Copy first, then a build that got out of its way
The words were written and approved before any layout existed. Framer was chosen so Natalie could adjust copy and availability herself without a developer, which mattered more for a single-practitioner practice than any custom build would have.
Elements
What we built into the page
One Guiding Metaphor
The mountain-path idea carried from hero to booking rather than dropped after the fold.
Specialist Intervention Split
General services and specialist pain, fatigue and mental-health work kept distinct.
Practitioner Trust Block
27 years of NHS practice stated plainly, without credential clutter.
Single Booking Action
One appointment path repeated, never competing with secondary calls to action.
Impact
Enquiries from the right clients
The specialist intervention split has meant enquiries arrive already matched to the right service, and the practice reports fewer initial calls spent establishing whether the work is a fit.
