Running Promotions Without Cheapening a Luxury Position
A Single Promotion Surface Beneath an Otherwise Editorial Storefront
A concept storefront exploring how a luxury jewellery brand can run promotions without cheapening itself. Editorial pacing on top, commerce mechanics underneath.
- 7Product categories in the rail
- 300+Products in the concept catalogue
- 1Promotion surface, by design

Context
Discounting is where luxury e-commerce breaks
Jewellery brands run sales like everyone else, but the badges, countdown timers and strikethrough pricing that work for fast fashion visibly damage a premium position. The concept started from that tension.

Goal
Promote in one place, hold the tone everywhere else
We confined every promotional signal to a single top strip. The product grid, collection pages and imagery stay editorial throughout, so a sale is visible to a shopper looking for one without being the first impression for a shopper who is not.

Process
Built as a reusable drop pattern
The collection launch module was designed to be reused each season — new imagery, same structure. That constraint kept the layout from depending on any one campaign's art direction.
Elements
What we built into the page
Editorial Product Pacing
Collections presented as stories before they are presented as inventory.
Seven Category Rail
Rings through crowns navigable without a mega-menu.
Restrained Promotion Bar
Offers carried in a single strip rather than across the product grid.
Collection Launch Module
A reusable pattern for seasonal drops.
Impact
A pattern for premium retail work
The single-surface promotion approach developed here now informs how we handle offers on client e-commerce builds in premium categories.
